Guppy Tasks is designed to help users manage small tasks and small personal projects. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app may collect, how it is used, and what choices you have.
Information We Store
Depending on how you use the app, Guppy Tasks may store:
- Tasks, completed task history, and project information you create in the app.
- Basic app preferences, such as task limits, project limits, reminders, widgets, and display settings.
- Your sign-in email address when you choose to sign in with Google or Apple.
- Support purchase status related to optional in-app tips.
How Information Is Used
Your information is used only to operate app features, including:
- Saving your tasks, projects, and settings.
- Syncing your data across devices when you sign in.
- Displaying home screen widgets with your current task information.
- Providing reminders, support purchases, and app functionality.
Guest Mode
You can use Guppy Tasks in guest mode. In guest mode, your data may remain only on your device unless you later sign in and choose to sync it with your account.
Authentication
If you sign in with Google or Apple, authentication is handled through those providers and Firebase Authentication. Guppy Tasks may store your email address and account identifier to support sign-in and syncing.
Third-Party Services
Guppy Tasks may use third-party services to provide app functionality, including:
- Firebase Authentication
- Cloud Firestore
- Google Sign-In
- Sign in with Apple
- Google Play Billing / Apple In-App Purchase services for optional tips
These services may process information as needed to provide their functionality under their own terms and privacy policies.
Advertising
Guppy Tasks does not use third-party advertising and does not sell your personal information.
Data Retention and Deletion
You can delete your data from within the app using the Settings screen. If you are signed in, this may remove your synced app data from cloud storage as well as from your device.
Children's Privacy
Guppy Tasks is not directed specifically to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
